What facial mesotherapy is
Facial mesotherapy is a skin treatment that targets visible signs of ageing, including those caused by pollution, sun exposure, lifestyle and stress. It delivers a tailored cocktail of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, amino acids and hyaluronic acid into the lower layer of the skin.
Depending on the blend of nutrients, it can give the skin intense, long-lasting hydration and help rejuvenate it by stimulating collagen and elastin. The result is skin that looks fresher, smoother and more radiant. Results vary from person to person.
How the treatment works
The blend is delivered through an advanced injector that places tiny, even amounts of product just beneath the surface of the skin. It is very comfortable, and you can return straight to your normal activities afterwards.
Mesotherapy is suitable for all skin types. A course of three sessions is popular, usually spaced a few weeks apart, and Annie will advise on maintenance once your course is complete.
Mesotherapy with a pH Formula peel
Mesotherapy can be added to a pH Formula chemical resurfacing peel for extra hydration, for an additional £20 per peel. The peel works on the surface and texture of the skin, while mesotherapy supports hydration from within.
Mesotherapy can also be combined with other treatments. Which combination makes sense for your skin is something Annie will discuss with you at your consultation.

Safety
What you need to know before mesotherapy
Every treatment carries risk. Nothing here replaces the consultation, where all of this is discussed with you before you consent to anything.
Not suitable if
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Active infection, cold sores, acne flare or inflamed skin at the treatment site
- Known allergy to any ingredient in the blend
- Bleeding disorders or blood-thinning medication, assessed individually
- Autoimmune conditions or immunosuppressive treatment, assessed individually
Common and expected
- Mild redness at the treated area for a few hours
- Tiny marks or small bumps at the injection points, usually gone within a day
- Occasional pinpoint bruising
Serious risks
Serious complications with mesotherapy are rare. The main risks are infection at an injection point and, very rarely, an allergic reaction to an ingredient in the blend, which is why your medical history is checked carefully first. Annie uses careful aseptic technique, and you are given a number to call if you have any concerns after treatment.
Aftercare
- Avoid touching the treated area for the rest of the day
- No makeup for twelve hours
- No strenuous exercise, saunas or steam rooms for 24 hours
- Avoid other facial treatments over the area for a week, unless Annie has planned them together
- Protect your skin from the sun with a broad-spectrum SPF

Is there any downtime?
No. Mesotherapy is very comfortable and you can return straight to your normal activities. You may have some mild redness or tiny marks for a few hours.
How many sessions will I need?
Some people have a single session, but a course of three gives the skin time to respond. A course of three is £350.
Can I combine mesotherapy with a peel?
Yes. Mesotherapy can be added to a pH Formula chemical resurfacing peel for extra hydration, for an additional £20 per peel.
Is it suitable for my skin type?
Mesotherapy is suitable for all skin types. Annie will check your skin and medical history at consultation first.
Do I need a consultation first?
Every new client starts with a free, in-person consultation with Annie before any treatment is booked. It is where your medical history is checked, your goals are talked through honestly and realistic results are agreed. If Annie does not think you need a treatment, she will tell you.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please give at least 48 hours notice if you need to move or cancel your appointment, so the time can be offered to someone else. Deposits and any late-cancellation terms are shown when you book through the online booking system.
