How pH Formula resurfacing works
Traditional peels mainly exfoliate the very top layer of the skin, the epidermis. pH Formula chemical skin resurfacing is designed to go further, speeding up the turnover and renewal of epidermal cells so that fresher skin comes through more quickly.
It uses a delivery system called the pH-DVC (delivery vehicle complex), which helps the active ingredients penetrate quickly and reach different layers of the skin in a controlled way. The acids act as carriers, releasing their effect gradually rather than all at once, which is intended to give results with fewer side effects than a harsh surface peel.
The result can be skin that looks smoother, brighter and more even. Results vary from person to person, and they build over a course of treatments supported by good home care and daily sun protection.

The Glow facial, at £65, is a lighter treatment and a good introduction if you are new to peels or want a fresher look before an event.
A single pH Formula chemical resurfacing session is £105, and a course of three is £300. All three sessions in a course must be used within three months of purchase, and they are usually spaced two to four weeks apart so the skin can renew between treatments.
You can add mesotherapy for extra hydration for £20 per peel. Annie can explain at your consultation whether this would suit your skin.

Safety
What you need to know before chemical skin peels
Every treatment carries risk. Nothing here replaces the consultation, where all of this is discussed with you before you consent to anything.
Not suitable if
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Active cold sores, infection or broken skin in the treatment area
- Isotretinoin (Roaccutane) within the last six months
- Sunburn, sunbeds or significant sun exposure in the previous two weeks
- Recent retinoids, exfoliating acids, waxing or laser treatment in the area
- Known allergy or sensitivity to any peel ingredient, including aspirin
Common and expected
- Tingling or warmth during application
- Redness for a few hours afterwards
- Mild dryness, tightness or light flaking for a few days
Serious risks
Stronger reactions such as prolonged redness, blistering or changes in pigmentation are uncommon. Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, where the skin darkens after irritation, is the main risk, particularly in deeper skin tones and when skin is exposed to the sun after treatment. The risk is reduced by choosing the right protocol for your skin and wearing a high-factor sunscreen every day afterwards. Contact the clinic straight away if anything concerns you.
Aftercare

- Avoid retinoids, exfoliating acids and scrubs for at least five days, or as advised
- Let any flaking come away on its own, without picking or pulling

- Keep your skin moisturised with gentle, fragrance-free products
- Avoid sunbeds and deliberate sun exposure while your skin recovers

Every new client starts with a free, in-person consultation with Annie before any treatment is booked. It is where your medical history is checked, your goals are talked through honestly and realistic results are agreed. If Annie does not think you need a treatment, she will tell you.
What is your cancellation policy?
